Visit the Wild Center, where you can wander up a trail of bridges to the treetops of the Adirondack forest. Explore a four-story twig tree house filled with animal tales, hang out high above the ground on a giant spider’s web or perch in a full-sized bald eagle’s nest high over the forest. Then off to Natural Stone Bridges & Caves. The massive stone bridge arch, the LARGEST marble cave entrance in the east, dominates this spectacular display of Adirondack geology. Originally named Puente de Dios (Bridge of God) by early explorers, the stone bridge has captivated visitors for over 200 years. Finally, we spend some free time in the village of Lake George. Arrival at Wild Center approx. 11:00 AM — Depart Lake George at 8:00 PM.
Tour Health Restrictions for Natural Stone Bridge and Caves: There are a number of natural stone steps on the tour making it impossible for strollers (they rent backpacks) and not advisable for anyone with a health problem that prohibits climbing up/down uneven steps. They do offer a number of other activities for those who cannot do the tour.
